GMB Northants Branch Secretary Alan Irwin and Branch President Jackie Grover attended the GMB National Retired Members Conference 2025 in London on the 21st October 2025
They presented two motions to conference which were supported by members. An update from WASPI: At this time of year, we would usually be attending party conferences. This year however, with all the political distractions we decided to prioritise the work on the Judicial Review and arrange our own MPs drop in in Westminster where we hope they won’t be distracted, and we can speak to them individually. That will happen in Westminster on 21st October. Your MP will have received an email, so please contact them and encourage them to attend on your behalf.
Corby MP Lee Baron wants answers as local authority refuses to name potentially contaminated sites The MP’s office is working with a national environmental charity to test the town’s waterways for heavy metal pollution Corby’s MP has said questions need to be answered after the local authority has refused to provide campaigners with a list of potentially contaminated sites in the town.
