GMB Northants Branch Elections 2025

GMB Northants Branch elections for officers and committee are due to take place this year at the June 2025 branch meeting.

Branch officers are elected by each GMB branch and each branch will have a president, secretary, equality officer, youth officer and two auditors and a committee of no less than nine members. The president, secretary, equality officer, race officer and youth officer will all be members of the committee. (See rule 35.3) 

​All branch officers, and the branch committee, will be elected at the last meeting in June every four years. Nominations can be made at any of the three meeting nights before the general meeting. If not enough nominations are made at these meetings, nominations can be made at the general meeting. (See rule 35.7).

It should be noted that these postholders are lay member appointments. They are not employed by GMB but work on behalf of the union to provide advice and support
to members in their branch.

GMB Northants Branch elections for officers and committee are due to take place this year at the June meeting, on Thursday the 26th June 2025 at 7pm. The Branch will be electing a:

• President
• Secretary
• Equality Officer
• ​Race Officer
  
• Youth officer
• Two auditors 
• An additional 5 committee members

Nominations for all officers and committee members will be taken in the March, April and May meetings. If more than one member is nominated for any position then there will be an election at the June 2025 meeting.
