 GMB Northants received a kind thank you card for a donation we made to Appeal-4-Alfie for the support his family had received following the launch of the Appeal to help fund a state-of-the-art surgical procedure to give Alfie the opportunity to stand and perhaps take his first steps.
GMB Northants marked Workers Memorial Day (WMD) 2016 with an event by the Steelworker Statue outside The Cube in Corby on the 30th April 2016. Here are some photos of the event which included speaches from Tom Beattie -Leader of Corby Borough Council, Lee Barron - Secretary Midlands TUC, Bianca Todd - Ron Todd Foundation and Gordon Glassford - GMB Northants Branch Secretary
Tim Roache, GMB General Secretary made his first speech as GMB General Secretary to GMB Congress in Bournemouth. Over 500 GMB delegates and visitors were there to hear him talk about what he thinks our union should look like, sound like and achieve in 21st Century Britain, but he knows not everyone can go to Congress. Here is a short video that sets out Tim Roache's vision for our union.
