Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and in partnership with The Core at Corby Cube and North Northamptonshire County Council, this experience tells the story of Corby's steel making past and is the culmination of over a year's work finding, capturing and presenting the real stories from the real people of Corby.

We've brought together all of our existing resources, research, training and new content on sexual harassment into one section on the TUC website, as a useful starting place for tackling harassment wherever we find it. Please share with reps and members so they can find resources easily. Training for women interested in becoming health and safety reps. Equality reception at TUC Congress 2024 We will be hosting an equality reception at TUC Congress 2024, 5.45pm - 7.15pm on Tuesday 10 September. We will share more information soon and a registration link. The reception will celebrate the equality wins shared by unions for the equality audit 2024. The reception will be open to delegates and non-delegates. Please do encourage your delegations and other members/officers who may have contributed to the audit and the wins included in it to come along. More info coming soon! ![]() Our branch secretary Alan Irwin will be undertaking a Charity Cycle Ride in Cuba, cycling approximately 400km in November 2022 to raise vital funds for educational projects in Cuba and delivering desperately needed material aid direct to a school for blind and visually impaired children. They will be visiting local healthcare centres and neighbourhood community projects along the way and of course visiting many cultural and historical places wherever they rest their weary legs. Thursday 1st April at 7PM, GMB Midland & East Coast are hosting an online discussion (on Zoom and Facebook) on the importance of the local elections for GMB members.
This will be a great opportunity to hear from GMB campaigners about why May’s elections matter to trade unionists. We’ll be joined by striking British Gas workers, Lord Vernon Coaker and others. We’ll also be showing attendees how to use the Party’s Dialogue system, allowing you to campaign from the comfort of your own home.
