 GMB union has prepared a Menopause Toolkit for members.

 GMB, the union for Asda workers has hailed a ‘massive victory’ as the Supreme Court ruled in favour of 40,000 workers today.
The ruling means shop floor staff at Asda can be compared to workers in the distribution centre for the purposes of their equal pay claim. GMB has now called on Asda bosses to meet with them and discuss the next stage of the shop workers’ compensation claim, which could run to £500 million.  Thursday 1st April at 7PM, GMB Midland & East Coast are hosting an online discussion (on Zoom and Facebook) on the importance of the local elections for GMB members.
This will be a great opportunity to hear from GMB campaigners about why May’s elections matter to trade unionists. We’ll be joined by striking British Gas workers, Lord Vernon Coaker and others. We’ll also be showing attendees how to use the Party’s Dialogue system, allowing you to campaign from the comfort of your own home. We’re calling on the Government to listen to the fury of NHS workers. After a decade of having their pay cut, and a year on the covid frontline keeping us all safe, these workers deserve a proper pay rise.  Wilko workers have grafted throughout this pandemic - putting themselves and their families at risk to keep stores open.
The company bosses should be rewarding their commitment - but instead they have slashed their sick pay entitlement  The Central Executive Council at its special meeting held on Tuesday 2 February 2021 agreed that an election for General Secretary and Treasurer will be held in 2021

The 'Facing change together' offer from WEA Adult Learning is aimed at adults of working age who are at risk of redundancy or who are looking to explore alternative employment options.  The March 2021 branch meeting of GMB Northants Community Branch is on Wednesday the 31st March 2021 at 7pm on Zoom.
