The Central Executive Council at its special meeting held on Tuesday 2 February 2021 agreed that an election for General Secretary and Treasurer will be held in 2021
The members who have declared their intention to seek nominations, have completed a personal details form in accordance with the election by-laws and have satisfied the Central Executive Council’s Finance & General Purposes Committee that they have complied with the election by-laws, are able to fulfil the range of duties set out in the General Secretary & Treasurer job competencies appended to the by-laws, are eligible under rule, and meet with the agreed qualifying standards and criteria are listed on the GMB National Website. - The Monaghan report made for shocking reading. What policies do you think the GMB should put in place in order to implement the recommendations and what should be the timescale?
- The climate change crisis is getting worse by the day. What policies should the GMB introduce to help combat it and would you support fracking if it was re-introduced? The previous GMB policy was to support it.
- The future of the GMB lies with young people. How do you think more young people should be attracted into the union and become active? How do you think your previous answers would help achieve this?
