 GMB Midlands have lots of exciting activity happening in their Regional Equality Networks and are holding a Regional Equality Conference taking place on the 16th January 2023 at GMB Union, Hillcrest House, Garth Street, Stoke-On-Trent ST1 2AB, between 9:30am & 4pm.
This will be a hybrid conference, so members can select whether they would like to attend via Teams or in person.

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women will mark the launch of the United Nations UNiTE campaign (Nov 25- Dec 10) — an initiative of 16 days of activism concluding on the day that commemorates the International Human Rights Day (10 December). More information at https://www.un.org/en/observances/ending-violence-against-women-day  GMB Northants Community Branch holds monthly branch meetings on the last Thursday of the month, except for in August and December.

Below are the summary minutes of the meeting. A full copy of the minutes are issued to attendees and are available on request from the branch secretary. A PDF file copy of the October Summary Minutes are also here.  An important course that reps and activists are encouraged to attend.
Speaking Up is designed for people who want to improve their public speaking skills. It is ideal for prospective congress delegates, and also anyone who wants to get more involved in the union and be more confident communicating with and on behalf of members. GMB Midlands are running Speaking Up on the 29th & 30th November at the Leicester and Halesowen offices. Building up the confidence and skills base of our activists is central to building GMB lighting fires and making work better. More information about the course here and an application form is here |
