 GFTU is hosting two Young Members' Development Weekends this year. The first one will take place at Quorn Grange Hotel from 19th to 21st May and is targeted at young members who are more experienced and active in the union and those who want to connect with other young members from different unions.

 We know from previous TUC research that:
Safety reps are the most powerful union rep role, but we know they’re not yet representative of our wider membership. We also know women and Black workers often face more risk at work.  The February meeting of the GMB Northants Community Branch is on Thursday the 23rd February at 7pm on Zoom
We will be joined by John Lewis, for a talk on Prostate Cancer The February Agenda is here and the January Summary Minutes are here  In June 2020, the TUC asked Black workers how their employers treated them during the Covid 19 pandemic lockdown. What you told them enabled the TUC to publish the Dying on the Job Report, which highlighted how institutional racism affected the health, safety and welfare of Black workers during the pandemic.
 The January meeting of the GMB Northants Community Branch took place on Thursday the 26th January 2023 at 7pm on Zoom Below are the summary minutes of the meeting. A full copy of the minutes are issued to attendees and are available on request from the branch secretary.
