GFTU is hosting two Young Members' Development Weekends this year. The first one will take place at Quorn Grange Hotel from 19th to 21st May and is targeted at young members who are more experienced and active in the union and those who want to connect with other young members from different unions.

![]() Course Title: Health & Safety Refresher Location: Regional Office, Nottingham Dates: 12th & 13th April 2022 This course gives GMB Safety Reps the opportunity to further develop existing skills and knowledge. Focussing on current workplace safety issues, it looks at how we employ a trade union organising approach in order to tackle these effectively. We also take a look at the importance of workplace inspections and revisit our safety reps rights as outlined in the Safety Representative and Safety Committee Regulations 1977.
