On the 31st of October, Workplace Rep Neil organised a Halloween Recruitment day at ASDA Kettering. The event was a spooktacular success! Below are some photos from the day.
 On the Monday 26th June, Abi and Neil held a movie themed GMB recruitment event in Asda Kettering. They arranged a member prize draw, and the winner got 2 cinema tickets and sides as a prize.
 On Friday the 18th April 2025, our workplace representatives Abi and Neil held a recruitment day at ASDA Kettering. Below are some photos of the event you can also view a introduction video from Neil on YouTube here
Abi and Neil did a raffle, £1 a turn in a winner takes all for all the Easter eggs. They had plenty of members who entered the raffle and they did get lots of interest at the recruitment table, plus loads of information went out. Here is Abi and Neil from GMB Northants Branch at ASDA Corby promoting our branch, during a recruitment day.  On Friday the 28th February 2025 Neil and Abi held another successful recruitment day at ASDA in Kettering, where we talked to lots of members and handed out merchandise. This recruitment event was a quiz on WhatsApp with 10 questions relating to GMB Union. This was a big success and members have been asking when they will do the next one.
 GMB Workplace Representative Neil held another recruitment day at ASDA Kettering on the 13/12/24 he held a Christmas recruitment day event in the ASDA canteen, where he had cakes and sweets available.
 GMB Workplace representative Neil held a Halloween themed recruitment day at Asda in Kettering on the 31st October 2024.
This included a "count the sweets in a jar" game for GMB members, and the winner received a Halloween hamper, second prize was the sweets in the jar.  On Monday 26th August our GMB Workplace representative Neil, held another recruitment day at Asda in Kettering in the canteen
 GMB Union had a demo at Asda Kettering on Monday 15th July 2024 in the morning. The demonstration was for Equal Pay and also the amount of hours that have been reduced in Asda Stores since the Issa Brothers and TDR Capital took over, which for Kettering is 11% of the stores employees have disappeared through cuts in hours.
The Equal Pay back pay owed in the Kettering Store is £3.8 Million in owed wages.  On the 3rd of July Neil Gardiner GMB Representative at ASDA in Kettering held another recruitment day with the theme being a combination of a picnic and bingo event.
Through the ASDA Kettering WhatsApp group the members decided they would like an Amazon gift card as the prize, So Neil did £1 a ball each. Also on the day Neil bought loads of cakes, fizzy drinks, and biscuits to go with the picnic theme. |
