 The April meeting of the GMB Northants Community Branch took place on Thursday the 27th April 2023 at 7pm on Zoom Below are the summary minutes of the meeting. A full copy of the minutes are issued to attendees and are available on request from the branch secretary. A PDF file copy of the April Summary Minutes are also here.
 The government's Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Bill has suffered a string of defeats in the Lords.
Major amendments to the Bill remove the power to sack key workers if they take strike action, remove the power to make unions force their members to go to work on a strike day, exempt Scotland and Wales from the Bill and force the government to publish impact assessments before implementing the new law.  To mark International Workers Memorial Day 2023 GMB Northants hosted an event in Corby on Saturday 29th April 2023.
 Corby is holding Corby Pride on Saturday the 10th June 2023 at Coronation park from 12pm. This is Corby's first ever and will offer local groups, organisations, and performers the chance to show their commitment to creating a tolerant and fair society for all.
