David Castledine will be able to come to the September meeting.
It was agreed that the secretary write to Andy Worth regarding the setting up of Unionline. He will address the concerns of the branch about the removal of Thompsons Solicitors, no win no fee for non members, the benefits of the new set up and the lack of consultation.
It was agreed to make a donation to Justice for Columbia.
We will give it until next month to find out if anyone wants to go to the Hazards conference in August.
It was agreed to re-affiliate to Northampton Trades Union Council
The secretary will try and set up a meeting in Northampton in August and invite Richard Oliver, regional political officer, if suitable dates can be found.
The friends of Coronation Park are looking for someone with the skills to build a stone bench which would have the original Workers Memorial Day plaque on it. It was felt that they should approach Tresham College to see if they had apprentices who could do it. The branch will help with the costs.
It was agreed to pay Lily and Mary’s expenses for the National Pensioners Convention.
