Secretary’s Report
Letter– Gender and sex debate, letter sent to ‘usual attendees’ of the union meetings. Discussion on the letter received from x. Branch very critical of the letter, trying to close down debate. Secretary to report after discussion with Equalities Officer. Branch agree setting up a special meeting on the issue and Secretary to report at next meeting.
WMD – 29th April 2023 – report from a highly successful day. Thanks to everyone involved in making it a memorable day. WMD, well received from the branch. Possibly bring to the next year’s Congress.
Presidents Report
President attended a webinar, TUC – employment law update. Reported on how good the webinars are and the range that they cover within the context of employment law. President recommended that more stewards should avail themselves of this free TUC service.
