A message from our retired branch secretary Gordon Glassford about a Corby Trades Council public meeting in October on the subject of ‘Corby Deserves More’ :
As the country is in crisis, cost of living, climate change, invasion of Ukraine and a government that is only interested in de-regulation and tax cuts, it was felt that now would be a good time to try and get Corby Trades Union council going again.
At an inaugural meeting held on July 4th I was elected temporary secretary. It is our intention to hold a public meeting in October on the subject of ‘Corby Deserves More’ which will be organised by the Midlands TUC with speakers.
Unfortunately many of the contact details I built up as a union branch secretary over the years have now gone missing but I am trying to contact as many people as possible whose details I still have.
